About Us
We are a Japanese (Riichi) Mahjong club based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We have weekly club meetings, as well as frequent meetups outside of the club.
Many of our members also often travel across the country, visiting our friends at other clubs, or attending conventions and tournaments.
If you are new to Mahjong and interested in learning, or have played Riichi (or any other type of Mahjong!) before and want to learn more, or you're a veteran interested in playing with other seasoned players, come check us out!

Our new venue - The Philly Mah-Jawn Mahjong Club is now open! Currently setup with 3 automatic Mahjong tables, and with a goal of 8 by the middle of 2025, our clubhouse is one of the best places to play Mahjong in Philadelphia!
Location: 123 Chestnut St, Suite 204A Philadelphia, PA 19106 (Entrance is on 2nd St). Check out this Reel to find out how to get to us!
Our clubhouse hours currently are:
- Friday 7pm - 11pm
- Saturday 12pm - 8pm
- Sunday 2pm - 8pm
Our venue fee is $10 a day for any of our open days, but for the month of March, the price to play is halved, so only $5!
We are a membership based club, so you must be a member in order to utilize the space. Membership tiers are:
- Tanyao Membership - $20 per year. Basic membership that allows access to the club during any open hours, and also the ability to reserve tables
- Mangan Membership - $60 per year. All the Tanyao benefits as well as access to special events, member-only tournaments, and a stamp card that gets you a free venue fee after every 9 visits. More benefits to come in the future.
If you are not yet a member, you can come by on Saturdays from 12pm - 2pm to experience playing Mahjong and get an introduction to our club and what we do. (Venue fee still required)
We also meet every Wednesday from 6:30pm until 10pm at the King of Prussia Bridge Club. (Check out our Meetup for more info: https://www.meetup.com/phillymahjong/)
